Larimar Therapeutics Names John Harlow As President And COO

(RTTNews) - Larimar Therapeutics, Inc. (LRMR), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, announced the appointment of John Harlow as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective September 29, 2026. He will report to Carole Ben-Maimon, Larimar's Chief Executive Officer.

Larimar's lead investigational compound, Nomlabofusp, is being developed as a potential treatment for Friedreich's ataxia.

John Harlow joins Larimar with more than 25 years of commercial, operational and business development experience across the biopharmaceutical industry.

Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of Esperion Therapeutics, where he led commercial operations, business development and global alliance management. Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of Melinta Therapeutics.

Earlier in his career, John Harlow held executive leadership roles at Baudax Bio, Recro Pharma and Endo Pharmaceuticals, as well as commercial and marketing leadership roles at Shionogi, Alpharma/King Pharmaceuticals, Novartis and Janssen.

For the second quarter of 2026, the company reported a net loss of $32.8 million, or $0.30 per common share, compared to a net loss of $26.2 million, or $0.41 per common share, in the prior-year period.

As of June 30, 2026, the company had cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totalling $156.3 million. The company projects its cash runway into the third quarter of 2027.

In June 2026, the company submitted the first module of its rolling Biologics License Application (BLA) submission to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for accelerated approval of Nomlabofusp in Friedreich's ataxia; the remaining modules are expected to be submitted in the second half of 2026.

LRMR has traded between $2.72 and $6.42 over the last year. The stock closed Tuesday's trade at $3.14, down 0.95%.
