Biomerica Posts Narrower Q4 Loss On Higher Sales; Stock Down

· Nasdaq Market Structure

(RTTNews) - Biomerica, Inc. (BMRA), a biomedical technology company that develops diagnostic and therapeutic products, reported its financial results for the fourth quarter, reflecting a narrower net loss and revenue growth. Meanwhile, revenue declined for fiscal 2026.

Biomerica's diagnostic products use immunoassay technology to analyse blood, urine, nasal, or faecal samples for diseases, food intolerances, and other medical conditions, and to measure hormones, antibodies, antigens, and other biomarkers. The company commercialises the inFoods IBS product through physician-directed and laboratory-based channels.

For the fourth quarter, net loss narrowed 27% to $1.1 million from $1.5 million a year ago.

Net sales increased 17% to approximately $0.875 million, from approximately $0.749 million a year ago. The increase was driven primarily by higher contract manufacturing and inFoods revenues in the quarter.

Fiscal 2026 Results For fiscal 2026, net loss shrank by approximately 24% to approximately $3.8 million from approximately $5.0 million a year ago.

Meanwhile, net sales for fiscal 2026 declined to approximately $4.50 million, compared to $5.30 million a year ago. The decline reflected lower sales in clinical labs, over-the-counter sales, and contract manufacturing.

As of May 31, 2026, Biomerica had approximately $1.3 million in cash and cash equivalents.

In August 2026, the company completed a private placement of approximately 1.39 million shares of common stock at a purchase price of $1.60 per share, generating aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $2.23 million.

BMRA has traded between $1.45 and $3.22 over the last year. The stock closed Tuesday at $2.09.

BMRA is currently down 14.35% at $1.79 in the pre-market.
